 THE TREATMENT What can I expect from the treatment: A gel is applied to the skin, and then the laser pulses are quickly and evenly applied. There is no need to grow your hair out before the treatment. No anesthetics are required, individuals experience a warm tingling sensation as the laser passes. Our Treatment Room - Preparation before treatment: It is recommended that area being treated is shaved prior to treatment.
- What to expect after the treatment: Clients experience a slight redness and swelling similar to a sunburn, and it will dissipate within 24-48 hours. There is no discomfort and you are able to return to your daily routine. Within 5-10 days visible stubble may appear, this is the treated hair being expelled from the follicle, this hair will fall out within a period of one to three weeks.
- What to avoid after treatment: Sun exposure or tanning should be avoided for at least 2 weeks after treatment, use a sunscreen (30SPF or above) if you plan to be exposed to the sun. Handle the treated area gently and avoid harsh cleansers or acne topicals. Your technician will supply you with complete after care instructions.
Consultation Room - What are the Contra-indicators for Laser Hair Removal: Clients using certain prescription drugs, chronic skin conditions, under chemotherapy/ radiation treatment or pregnant may not be able to undergo Laser Hair Removal. Your technician will complete a medical history chart with you on the day of your consultation to address any concerns you may have.
